PDO (polydioxanone) is a strong synthetic fiber, consisting of one or two twisted solid fibers that dissolve in the tissue after some time.

Polydioxanone - a material used in medicine for many years. It was primarily used in skin and subcutaneous sutures in plastic surgery, gastroenterology, urology, gynecology, and ophthalmology.

Polydioxanone activates the process of neocollagenesis in tissues - that is, it stimulates the production of new collagen - a protein responsible for skin tension and firmness. In addition, fibroblast stimulation stimulates the synthesis of elastin - the protein responsible for skin elasticity and elasticity. In vivo studies also state that the action of polydioxanone causes the synthesis of natural (endogenous) hyaluronic acid.
